Peyote Stitch Tapestry Pattern | Christmas Advent Calendar - Days Til XMas! | Instant Download!
£8.85
I always loved the advent calendar as a child - we had a home crafted one that had presents for my 2 siblings and I tied to each day. Same stuff every year, but oh how we looked forward to it! I designed this as a bit more of a grown up version for my family. This is a lot of work, and beads - I won't lie - there are close to 40,000 delica beads in this project should you choose to bead all 24 patches.
This calendar will allow you to count down to Christmas with interchangeable number patches.
There are four colours - and I have taken a photo of the actual beads to compare against the digital image in the listing. I am beading this but it will take the rest of my natural life, and I am eager to share. Please be assured that I have my patterns proof read if I am listing before testing, and wherever possible, I match beads from my stash to the screen colours to make sure the colours match.
The Calendar
There is one large piece, it is approximately 5” wide and 9.75” long. In the main it is even count peyote stitch. there is some gentle shaping involved. There are 24 separately charted number patches that can be attached to your main chart. It is up to you how many of these you do. For expediency, you could stitch the first 7 to count down a week before or go crazy and do all 24. Each number patch is 2.25” x 2”.
I have designed this pattern with Miyuki Delica beads, in size 11/0. The colours I designed with are detailed in the included legend (please refer to listing picture for actual colour). The legend also includes bead counts. You can of course substitute your own colour choices if you like! You can also substitute the seed beads, but note that the stated sizes of the finished piece will be different.
You will be able to download 4 pdf files upon payment completion. I thought long and hard about how I laid this out - and having everything in one file was a little overwhelming. It's a huge pattern, and I wanted you to be able to print just the parts you need when you need them. If you can work from a screen even better.
The files are broken down into:
♥Word Chart and instructions for the main body
♥Graph chart for the main body
♥Word charts and instructions for the number patches.
♥Graphs for the number patches.
Now, as this is such a whopper, if you prefer to work from the screen, or have the word chart modified to the way that works best for you, I am happy to email you directly with the word version of this PDF, so you can colour code, mark off completed rows, or do anything that makes it easier to bead. This is of course subject to copyright rules.
You will need:
Delica beads,
Needle,
Thread.
Patience of a saint.
As is standard with these patterns, please do not share, claim as your own, or re-sell. You are however, free to sell items you make using my patterns, a shout out for the design is always welcome!
